Brokers are the biggest producers by a wide margin: 49 of 88 shows are run by individual brokers, broker teams, or brokerages. By audience, 54 shows speak mainly to consumers, 23 to brokers, and 11 to both.
Where are they based?
Only 56 of the 88 shows state a location. Of those:
- Ontario: 25
- British Columbia: 22
- Quebec: 4
- Alberta: 2
- Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Nova Scotia: 1 each
We found no mortgage-focused shows from the territories or from Newfoundland and Labrador, New Brunswick or Prince Edward Island.
French-language mortgage podcasts
6 of the 88 shows are in French, and 3 of them are still publishing. Quebec brokers and buyers have far fewer options than English speakers.
Which should you listen to?
It depends who you are. The directory labels each show by audience, so filter by what you need:
- Brokers growing a business: broker-hosted and industry shows such as Be The Better Broker.
- First-time buyers: consumer-facing shows such as Homeowner AF: The Canadian First Time Homebuying Podcast.
- French speakers: Indépendance financière et hypothèques, among others.
Every show has its own page with status, latest episode, and links to Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube and the show's website. Browse them all at bips.ca/resources/mortgage-broker-podcasts.
Method
We searched Apple Podcasts, show websites and industry listings, then confirmed each show's RSS feed by fetching and parsing it where one exists (83 of the 88 have a working feed). A show counts as active if it published an episode in the six months before October 28, 2026. A further 14 shows touch on mortgages but are not mortgage-first; they appear under "Related shows" and are not counted above.
